The Inter-Town league provides an environment where kids can have a team experience without the super competitive pressure of Travel soccer. Inter-Town teams will have approximately 5-6 game season. Teams will play 2, 25 minute halves of 9v9 soccer with a parent coach. Register to coach when registering your child if interested. Please read our Code of Conduct here.
What is Pre Travel?
Pre travel is a supplementary program to intramural soccer. In addition to playing in the intramural program the pre travel teams will run an additional “team only” training session and also compete in the Nassau Developmental program (NDP) or Long Island Junior Soccer league (LIJSL) against neighboring pre travel teams in Nassau County. Acceptance onto a pre travel team is by invitation only and either requires a tryout or recommendation from your intramural trainer. Pre travel is designed for the committed soccer player and for players who want a more competitive game and training experience.
What is Intramural?
Intramural soccer is for all children who want to play and learn how to play soccer. Intramural begins at 3 years old and runs programs up to 9th grade. Preschool, Pre K and Kindergarten participate in a combined practice and game on either Saturday or Sunday and 1st-9th grade play games on the weekend and practice once a week on a weekday evening. All games and practices are at a set location and time.
All sessions will be coached by DOC Paul Kelshaw and his team of approved trainers and assistants. The sessions will involve individual skill/technique training and games. We will also play Small sided Games/scrimmages that will involve game understanding/tactical training, individual and team competition with and without goalkeepers. This program is ideal for children who are preparing for the Fall season or need an evening program to supplement their day camp/beach club.
